|Arnica||The king of hematomas and traumatisms. Reduces muscular traumatism (e.g., for overexerted hunting dogs), contusions, blows, falls, and ecchymosis. Can be given before an operation (or a farrowing) to reduce the number of hemorrhages and pain, and afterwards to reduce operatory shock, resorb hematomas, and stimulate platelets. Reduces hematomas of all types, independently of where it is located.|
|Calendula||Treats bruises in the muscles or joints after a traumatism. The animal is hypersensitive to noise and to cold air. Suffers from nervous exhaustion following a traumatism or prolonged suppuration. Aggravated by movement and improved with rest.|
|Ferrum phos.||Treats rheumatism in large joints and vertebral joints (spine and back of neck), as well as sudden onset of rheumatism, at first mobile (passes from one joint to another), then fixed. The joint is swollen, painful, and sensitive to the touch, and limbs are stiff. Improved with heat and slow movements; aggravated by rapid movements and at night.|
|Hypericum||Treats traumatisms of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and wounded nerves). Alleviates vertex pain that spreads to the cheeks, pain in cranial bones and vertebral column, tooth pain (improved with immobility or by laying on the affected side). Soothes wounds from insect bites and stings, and squashed nerves (from a limb being caught in a car door or other door). Improved when the body is stretched out.|
|Natrum sulf.||Treats cranial traumatisms and the after-effects (subject is irritable and worse on awakening or with humidity) as well as chronic rheumatism that is sensitive to changes in weather. Joints crack and are painful (within the joint and in the surrounding area, including the muscle). Improved in dry weather.|
|Ruta||Treats rheumatic pain characterized by muscular weakness, as well as sprains with torn ligaments and synovial inflammation following repeated and forceful movements. Pain is more widespread than for Rhus tox. The animal lies continuously on the painful area. No stiffness when it begins to move. Not aggravated by contact. The vertebral column is painful, aggravated by going up or down stairs. The animal hesitates to put its paw down because its limb is so painful. Treatment for bone trauma (fractures, etc.).|
|Staphysagria||Treats clean incision wounds caused by sharp instruments (similar to the incisions during operations).|
|Symphytum||Reduces bone pain after fractures or traumatisms, as well as osteoarticular lesions. More rapid calcium renewal after a fracture.|
