Indications for Use: Diarrhea, loose stools, gastroenteritis.
Available in: 30 ml oral drop bottle, or tube of granules.
Dosage: 10 drops or 5 granules, every half hour until symptoms improve. Supplement the treatment with a 24-hour fast, if possible.
|Antimonium crudum||Useful for large, fat, lymphatic, and somnolent animals, intoxicated by excessive and inappropriate feeding. The organism reacts by vomiting, sometimes accompanied by constipation alternating with diarrhea. The highly intoxicated animal will present skin rashes to a greater or lesser degree.|
|Arsenicum album||Treats gastroenteritis. The animal has breath that smells like garlic, a dry mouth, lips, and throat, and excessive thirst, along with a tendency to develop aphthas and ulcers in the mouth. The animal’s body is very cold (the hypothermic cat has diarrhea and seeks warmth). Reduces fetid, irritating, and burning diarrhea (sometimes streaked with blood) and perianal excoriations with rectal burning.|
|China||Important treatment for loss of body fluid. Treats acute, dark, fetid, exhausting diarrhea accompaniedd by abundant gas. The abdomen is bloated and sensitive to touch. The animal seeks cold water, and is very weak and at risk of dehydration.|
|Colocynthis||Excellent treatment for abdominal colic (cramps, spasms, violent pain) that is relieved in carnivores when doubled up.|
|Cuprum metal.||Treats choleriform diarrhea and acute gastroenteritis (resembling cholera). Stools are very watery, frequent, with an unpleasant odour, may or may not be profuse, and accompanied by painful colic. The diarrhea is exhausting, often green, with nausea and vomiting. The animal is worn out and its body feels cold (condition improved with heat).|
|Ferrum phos.||Reduces vomiting and colic accompanied by small burning stools (caused when the animal drinks a cold liquid when it is hot or sweating).|
|Mercurius corrosivus||Treats acute, painful dysentery together with colic and stools streaked with blood.|
|Nux vomica||Useful for animals with a coated tongue, inflamed and swollen gums, and bad breath, especially in the morning. The animal’s appetite is irregular (causing the animal to either be voracious or eat nothing), accompanied by vomiting of bile or food from excess. The animal falls asleep after eating.|
|Veratrum album||Reduces profuse vomiting accompanied by extreme thirst for cold water. Profuse, frequent, very watery diarrhea (without much odour). Intense bowel movements followed by extreme weakness. Treats canine parvovirus gastroenteritis, feline infectious enteritis, and gastroenteritis in young animals.|
