Ecology and Phytosociology

The field maple grows in Europe and Western Asia, throughout coppices in plains and hills. A relatively slow-growing tree, quite demanding of soil conditions, it produces a hard, homogeneous wood. This maple is valued in coppices because of its hardiness and soil-retaining properties.

Indications for Use

Antifungal and antiviral. Although having no specific clinical action, acts in association with other remedies.

Complementary Treatments

  • Fraxinus Excelsior: Treats choledocholithiasis and possibly secondary cholangitis that affects the liver and is accompanied by the formation of bile oversaturated with cholesterol, leading to microscopic crystal and stone precipitation. Reduces cholesterol levels. Indicated for atherosclerosis.
  • Tilia Tomentosa: Treats anxiety neurosis characterized by fear of unspecific danger, along with headaches and vertigo.


  • Coagulation: Mild antithrombophilic action.
  • Hypoclycemic: Indicated for diabetes (reduces blood sugar levels).
