Ecology and Phytosociology

Emblematic of quiet strength, the oak is unaffected by the mineral composition of the soil. A robust, light-seeking species, the oak enjoys significant longevity. This species leads to the growth of soil-protecting under plants. It is the perfect species for the mixed forest, growing in riparian forests on alluvial ground, oak stands, beech-oak stands, acid-loving oak stands and calcareous Sessile oak stands.
